Who we are
PowderTec is a powder coating and metal finishing operation in Cullman, Alabama, built on a simple idea: finishing should be an asset to your operation, not a bottleneck in it. We run one of the most advanced facilities in the state — including the largest powder coating oven in Alabama — so the parts other shops have to turn away come here instead.
Every job moves through the same disciplined sequence: thorough pretreatment, precise electrostatic application on Gema equipment, and a controlled cure. Where a part needs more than a finish, our AWS-certified welders and fabricators repair, modify or build it from CAD before it ever reaches the booth.
The result is a finish that holds up — on a race chassis, on a trailer that lives in the water, on a fence line that has to still look right in twenty years.

Explore ServicesHow the work moves
01
Thorough cleaning and chemical pretreatment that strip contamination and give the powder something real to bond to. Skip this step and nothing after it matters.
02
Electrostatic application on Gema equipment, then a controlled cure in the largest powder coating oven in Alabama — so big parts cure evenly instead of in sections.
03
AWS-certified welding, CAD-driven fabrication and the repair of worn or damaged parts — before or after the finish, whichever the job actually calls for.
Where we work
From our facility on Alabama Highway 69 South in Cullman, we sit inside an easy haul of nearly every industrial corridor, automotive shop and lake community in the northern half of the state — Huntsville and Decatur to the north, Birmingham to the south, the Shoals to the west, Lake Guntersville to the east.
That central position matters more than it sounds. Shorter hauls mean less handling on large or heavy parts, quicker turnaround and a shop you can actually drive to when a job needs a conversation.
